Over the last 5 years, a Khmer-Thai joint Research Project, has conducted surveys in the north of Cambodia and in Korat Plateau, Thailand. This is a study on the historic roadway, communication links and human settlements of the Khmer empire from Angkor to Phimai. Mr Im Sokrithy, schearcher at APSARA autority will talk about this project and answer your questions.
For the second edition, Virtual Geometry is offe- ring the discovery of video creations by students and young artists from the Arts Schools of Phnom Penh, Nantes, Caen, Lyon, Bourges, and Paris.
The selection of works, compiled by Daniel Perrier, artist and instructor at the School of Fine Arts in Nantes, France, will give us a glimpse of the diver- sity of subjects (portraits, views of city space, habi- tations) and the forms of narrative (documentary, short fiction, remakes, and essays) now being taken up by this medium and by the moving image.
Video creations by young Cambodian artists pro- duced during a two-week workshop directed by Anna Katarina Scheidegger will be shown.
